But you were right, it was utter crud. Graphically very pretty, but lacking in gameplay with awkward conrtrols.
So anyway, I took it back on Boxing Day and swapped it for...
(Drum roll please...)
Need For Speed Underground (Xbox version, obviously).
And it's absolutely brilliant.
While I was there, I also picked up the smaller S controller, which I have to say is FAR more comfortable than the original wrist-breaker.
Altogether it adds up to the best experience I've had since owning the Xbox, and the machine has only been off when I've needed to sleep!
Who said EA don't make decent games? LIARS!
Lots of stupid options, liscensed music, simple gameplay and flashy front ends.
Although it is better than their average fare, it's just nothing to games like Burnout 2. That has real flair and a spark in it.
Yeah, I got myself one when I ordered my X-Box from SR. Great little blighters aren't they? I've never even had to use the large controller (other than to take control of my mate's character on Halo 2 on co-op mode to get them out of somewhere when they're stuck - idiots)

Just do a lap and before you cross the line just do afew 360's, you dont have to get through the cones.
Might give it a rent, as i like my racers and 2fast 2blah blah.
I refuse to buy PGR2 because of one thing - the cones.
I want to race, not dodge cones. Once I'd beaten all the races on the original PGR, it became so damn boring. If I want to see cones, I can go to any of Britain's motorways!
I agree about the jaggie graphics on NFS though - screenshots must be from the PC version I guess. Though the frame rate seems fine to me.
Still, as they say in McDonalds... I'm lovin' it! The soundtrack is great, too.
