Pirate games rule.

The only problem I see is that there aren't enough of them.

I believe that we all need more pirate games, as they're great fun.

Honestly, how many pirate games have you got?

I haven't got any, but I sure wish I did!

Those Monkey Island games look great fun, and apparently 'Pirates!' on the NES, and other platforms was great fun, but we haven't really had anything build on this genre.

I remember playing a game called "Pirates Gold" or something on the Megadrive, and it was quite fun, you had to land you pirate ship at various ports to buy supplies, and you could land on islands to look for treasure. You also got into a few turn based pirate ship battles, and you could plunder the boats if you won.

I really think that the latest consoles would be an ideal platform to produce a truelly outstanding Pirate game. Imagine real time sea battles, firing cannons fo weaken a boat, get close, then board it. Fight with your cutlass against the captain of a rival ship, and steal their treasure. Deal with mutiny, survive scurvy, lose a hand, get a hook as a replacment. Best of all would be looking for treasure on the islands.

Ah pirate games would rule.

Question: Why are there so few games that feature pirates, and why are there so few Western games?

I read the title. I read the Author. I sighed as I clicked it and knew that monkeys would be mentioned somewhere.

Acually it is working ok(apart for the connection to the internet) but the problem is the fact it's so old. 5 yyears around with only 1gig hard drive and 16mb of ram.
I can't even make a website on it.

OK then. Are all your PC parts not working, or just one or two of them?

Mantis, I think your tagline is the complete opposite with mine. Not literally, but in practical terms.

THey was a old western lightgun game called Mad Dog McCre on the philips CDI and it was great for a laugh. The acting was terrible and it made you laugh every time you played. Not a bad game either.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
LOVE it....
You have made it so easy to build & host a website!!!
