We need rules otherwise this will turn into the inbred sister of General Chat.
The first rule of FOG Chat is you do not tell newbies of FOG Chat
The second rule of FOG Chat is you should keep, largely, to the topic of games, consoles and suchlike.
The third rule of FOG Chat is that any stupid, useless or newbie posts should be ignored. If we give them no attention they will tire of posting here.
The fourth rule of FOG Chat is that there are to be no 'spam magnets' such as "the person below is", "word association" or "sign in, sign out" threads.
The fifth rule of FOG Chat is regulars should do their best not to bait Jats and newbies into the forum, or to give them reason to spam badly and annoy everyone.
There are perhaps areas I missed out but if we follow the above guidelines then FOG chat should be much better than the God forsaken general chat. Urgh.

You are able to hide forums from guest and newbies, i've seen it done. I bet the staff have a seperate forum somewhere!
It is risky I agree relay, but it must be tried. I think another thing which is going to happen is we are going get some newbies saying things like:
"I'm not to bad"
"Its only some newbies"
Trying to get in with us.
"I'm not to bad"

I am all in favour of this idea, but surely a newbie, looking at the page where it lists all the forums, and which was posted ost recently, wil see this at the top, and come in. Then he will see this thread, and think 'mmhmm if they have moved here to get away from people such as me, I'm going to go and annoy them there too'.

I think we shouldnt tell certain regulars as well as newbies, I'm not going to name names but I think you know who.

Yeh. Probably, the forums will begin to work as a Communist Faction.

And if this ever happens, about two months after it does there will be a split in regulars and the notables will be over thrown and new-regulars will SPAM this place up.

I always thought that Prime Chat was a place where no newbie/JAT could tread. I thought SR put a thing on it so only Regulars could post in there?
Also, post a subject in the Customer Support section asking for this to be made into a regular only forum which can be moderated by the Notables.
