I've just watched the trailer on IGN and I must say it looks supoib. I especially like the look of the bike missions and the 3rd person fighting.

Watch it here:

http://media.cube.ign.com/media/566/566605/vids_1.html#

It's a good 20+ Mb file so I wouldn't advise 56k'ers.

For every one or two decent Games, there are a bucketload of substandard ones though...

EA are getting better...

There games are not exactly awful they're just not that special.

And they are good friends with Nintendo.

And Return of the King is a pretty decent game.

If I had my way, I'd go and burn EA.

They take a license, throw money at it, make it look flashy, and sell it to their targets (i.e. People who don't know any better than EA)

Except I'd save EA Big (and maybe EA Sports), because of the SSX games and Def Jam Vendetta.

I played a demo of this on the PS2, not impressive at all. It looks nice enough but is actually far more dull than the screenshots and video's make it out to be.

The 3rd person action sections are tiresome, just a case of targeting and shooting a never ending army of bad guys who can case a fair amount of damage, there's some entertaining abseiling bits with you charging down the side of a building while it's blowing up, and while it looks nice on screen, it just isn't exciting in the least.

The bike bits are more entertaining, but not by much. You basically drive really fast through traffic occasionally shooting at some bad guys also on bikes along the way. There's some stupid slow motion effects thrown in which are not really needed and the whole thing just reeks of a poor rip off of games like Burnout.

Repetitive, dull and forgettable but it looks great. Hang on, I think I've just described most of EAs game catalogue there, still what exactly do you expect from a developer who puts profit ahead of quality? This game feels like nothing more than a quick way to make a profit out of the popularity of the Bond film, the sad thing is that EA will probably make a fair amount of money out of it.

I thought it looked alright

But it's the typical EA fare again. Just a bunch of money chucked at it. The combat looks ok, but the shooting looks poor, very dire indeed.

Oh yeah, and the street race sequence looks absolutely awful.

Still, the voice acting seems cool. But really? Do they think that spider gadget is original anymore?

The World is Not Enough was great... a very enjoyable game... not quite Goldeneye but easily an FPS great.

Better than Agent Under Fire and Nightfire.

I hated Agent Under Fire so-much I didn't even want to give Nightfire a chance! I heard The Word is Not Enough was quite good, but, because it still wasn't going to be `GoldenEyeŽ, I still said no.

However, since it strays-away from the `first-person shooterŽ side of things, and into more of an "adventure" game, I've actually got some fairly-high hopes for this new `BondŽ-adventure.

That is, to say, it should at least be better than the other two GameCube titles; while, still somewhere lower than the likes of Zelda or Metroid (of course!).

Hmmmmm never trust an EA Bond game... The World is Not Enough turned out to be the only exception.

Indeedie. Looks impressive, but I was impressed by a rather swish looking Nighfire video and that only turned out to be average.
