THESE COMPETITIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. Congratulations to cjh, your prize will be announced in GAD winners within the next few days.

Challenge 1: The standard of entries to this was disappointing, but the panel accepts that this challenge is not easy and the results are subjective or dependent on personal opinion. We ruled out names where spelling is not intuitive, such as "bazraz". We ruled out names where they included real words such as "borednow". We ruled out names which are already taken such as "fabtastic". We ruled out Loki. We ruled out names which are not easy to remember, such as "kakazen". We ruled out names which have similar names registered such as "shlurple" which clashes with "shurple". And in the in the opinion of the panel there was no name suggested which would make a good commercial name. Sorry - No prize for challenge 1. Closest but not quite came NickGreen.

Challenge 2: The clear outright winner of the caption part of the competition is cjh for his various suggestions such as "You're a nobody", "the web is big, the web is bold, register now before you get old" and "do you want free porn? That's nice but we sell domains". Runner up (no prize) was Sunflower with "Choose or Loose".

We reserve the right to use any or all of the suggestions and thank you for your efforts in making them.

One or two of our £30 Gameaday Prizes will go to the winner of this competition.

Challenge 1: FIND AN AVAILABLE DOMAIN

Using Get Dotted find the best available domain name of the "opodo", "mumbojumbo" type of name.

The .co.uk and the .com must BOTH be available for your suggestion.

You must use Get Dotted to find your available domain.

Enter your suggestion clearly on this thread, e.g. "I suggest the name MUMBONGIDO".

If your suggested name sounds similar to an existing business (e.g. "MAROOOGLE") then it will not be considered.

The shorter your suggested name, the better it will score.

A panel of experts will judge your suggestions, and IF there is a good one then the suggestor will get a normal GAD prize of £30 to spend at Amazon or Argos.

Note that we are not likely to register your suggestion or use it, but this will get you in the spirit for Challenge 2.

Challenge 2: CATCH PHRASE

Oh what fun it is to try to find an available domain. Sum this sentiment up with a SHORT CATCHY PHRASE.

Imagine that every page on the forums and cheats etc has a little box to search for available domains. The catch phrase we are looking for would sit comfortably above this search box in a bright fun manner, to encourage people to enter something into the search box.

Try not to make your catch phrase too specific. i.e. try not to word it for any particular use, such as the name of a business or the name of a baby. This should be a general catch phrase to suit all interests. You can add a sub-phrase if you like because you must clarify the reason for the search (as your words will be the title for the search box)

Try to restrict yourself to no more than ten or twelve words in total. The shorter the better.

Enter your catch phrase in a clear manner in this thread. For example say "My catch phrase is IT'S FUN TO FIND AVAILABLE DOMAINS and my subtitle is ENTER ANYTHING HERE".

If the winning idea is worthy enough, then we will use it on the site.

The best Catch Phrase will be selected by the panel, and the winner will recieve a Gameaday prize consisting of a £30 voucher to spend as he or she likes at Amazon or Argos.

You have two weeks to come up with your ideas. The closing date is Midnight on February 21st.

ABSOLUTELY NO edited posts will be considered and if the same idea is suggested several times it will be the first one which counts.

Do not post links to your suggestions, they must be written in a post.

You can enter either or both competitions as many times as you want but we reserve the right to delete the entire works of competition spammers.

Even Machie should have a few minutes to have a go at this.

Staffies who make silly suggestions will of course be SACKED.
