You have a lot of spare time don't you?? Ever heard of gaming?? *Sorry it's just that I hate the idea of things which are addicted to 1 thing when there are many other things*

my pc never crashes as i have this crash guard thing. it comes up just before a crash and tells me to terminate the program or the computer will crash. doesn't happen that often though.

That's WIndows for you. Get another OS, like Linux.

Oh look, another MicroSoft bashing thread..er-no will have a field day..

I've done this argument way too many times, lets sum this up:

Windows 2000 is a very good o/s, rarely crashes and has perfectly good game support. Go get that instead of the win9x series, which is, admittedly, abysmal.

Linux is a perfectly viable alternative, if you have patience and are willing to give back to the community. The very fact that it is open source and everyone helps everyone else means that there is actually a lot more support for many things than windows. Compatibility is becoming less of an issue, and you can get free Linux clones of many apps anyway - if not, WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator) will run an ever increasing number of windows programs.

Ok, time to defend Macs...hm. Well, there's an MSN client for them, they're powerful but orientated towards certain tasks. Anyway, as er-no will tell you (repeatedly, until you shut up and go away), there's an emulator to run most windows applications.

I like MSN, its cheaper than sending text messages. And its a nice way of getting to know other people from the forums.

Yes, it can be slow, especially when you have a P75 for a PC.

Ah well you see roliasrats is that for the unfortunate people is that Volume makes no difference, you still see the sign in the bottom corner which says 'So and so has signed in' 'So and so says "blah blah blah"' When you have 50 people on it really can become annoying!!
