it's Metroid Prime! As we all know (don't we?), Retro Studios (known as the Rare of America) cancelled it's other Gamecube project - Raven Blade. So, every single team member of the Rare of America concentrating their efforts on one game.
Metroid Prime was shown to the public for the first time at Spaceworld 2000. This means that the game has been in development for over a year on a platform which is easy to develope for. However, press expect only a realtime video at this years Spaceworld. To me, this suggests that the team are taking their time with the project and are going to do things the right way.
The above two pieces of evidence sets firmly in my mind that Metroid Prime is going to be an absolute stonker (classic) of a game.

Umm, I'm afraid to say that the game being an FPS was confirmed at E3. I, personally, prefer it being an FPS so there's no probs for me. :)

As long as it doesn't become a First Person Shooter.

A Jet Force Gemini control style would probably suit it well.
That would allow for all sorts of platforming, shooting and hookshot action.

Yes, but we know that the shots of metroid Prime are nive, which is why I'm saying that the gameplay factor is the hardest to get right. Oh yeah, I quite like text adventures.

No, that statement was completely incorrect. Are you saying that if the gameplay of a text adventure equalled the gameplay of Metroid Prime, you'd like both games just as much as one another? I think not!

I've got a funny feeling that this is going to be the most graphically advanced game ever made. Not sure why, just a feeling...

Metroid Prime will be great! I remember people wanting to see a Metroid Game for the N64 so this will be the awnser to their prayers and with it being so anticipated and on Gamecube we can only expect good things.
