it's Metroid Prime! As we all know (don't we?), Retro Studios (known as the Rare of America) cancelled it's other Gamecube project - Raven Blade. So, every single team member of the Rare of America concentrating their efforts on one game.
Metroid Prime was shown to the public for the first time at Spaceworld 2000. This means that the game has been in development for over a year on a platform which is easy to develope for. However, press expect only a realtime video at this years Spaceworld. To me, this suggests that the team are taking their time with the project and are going to do things the right way.
The above two pieces of evidence sets firmly in my mind that Metroid Prime is going to be an absolute stonker (classic) of a game.

Star Wars is gonna be the game to look out for, I cant wait to do that Death Star level and the Hoth levels.
i recently saw a preview of lugi's mansion with in-game footage and it actually looks quite good! could be another one to look out for!

Im most looking forward to Star Wars Rogue Leader!! Thats part the reason why Im getting a GC!!
I thought the camera in JFG was good when you brought up the aiming crosshair. But otherwise a lot of the time I found myself running down tunnels notbeing able to see what i was doing cause the camera was facing the front of my character. It wouuld work if they made it like CBFD were you can have the crosshair up to aim, but you can also move forward at the same time.
Jet Force Gemini's camera was done brilliantly.
The controls were ever so slightly sluggish but being the first time that control system was used, they're bound to improve on it.

1st person shooters are much better than third person. Ive yet to play a 3rd person shooter thats got a decent camera, JFG would have been quite a good game if it hadn't been for the crap camera.
should be a good game, as long as it plays well, hope it has multiplayer, now that would be good...
