Ignore Bruce and listen to the wise words of the St*rsailor :P.

What does he mean then? YOu may be asking......probably not, but anyways. Is he trying to say that Gameboys are the future? Certainly not. What I mean is Mobiles (i.e Phones). I think as we go into the 128 bit era mobiles will change the way we play HANDHELD games,

WIth Pokemon Crystal already out in Japan working through a mobile network I think it could be expanded and spread to other genres of games not just RPGs. Using the mobile adaptor, lucky Japanese children have been able to download all of the rarest Pokemon off of the net and onto there Gameboys, they have also made it possible to trade your creatures with it as well.

Well what could be done in say a Beat em up? My suggestions would be, downloading new characters and being able to play games on the WAP phone to win new moves tp make your had nut fighter stronger and give all your mates a whooping with your rare moves.

This could also be incorparated into Racing games. Much like the way people can download new things onto their DC games this could be added to a Gameboy racing game in the way of new tracks and cars.

But why would anyone want to bother going onto the net and waiting for these things to download? Well since the Gameboy Advance has been released I have played three of the biggest launch games and so far their lastability has made me chuckle at home pathetic it is.

Take GT advance for example. I borrowed it for a night and played it for a while, it wasn't long till I had completed the game on the first 3 difficulties. I gave it back the next day because I didn't feel that the next difficulty would be that different. Some new tracks may have kept it fresh for longer and maybe some new features such as.....a destruction Derby, now that would have been cool.

Mario Advance is another game that I felt had the lastability of a doughnut. It just wasn't big enough. Being able to download new levels for it...or maybe even a secret character would have improved its lastability immensly.

Of course I haven't seen the latest batch of GBA games to be released, but if they're lastability is the same something like Pokemon Crystals Mobile Network could guarantee people playing the games for much longer. Mind you, maybe the developers don't want this, maybe they want people to play through the game after spending 30 dd pounds and then have them have to buy a new game in the same week because they are bored of the last one already?

Whatever it is, I think that the Mobile is the future of Handheld gaming.

<];o) Thanks for reading, St*rsailor.

Oi, what the hell do you think you are doing? Read the bl00dy post before quoting it and putting a cocky remark at the bottom.

If you had read it you would understand it a bit better....but wait, you can't read, I forgot about that, maybe if you got back in line for your brain it might help.

Lexus you plum, the post is concerning using mobiles to create network gaing on handheld consoles, a brilliant idea, if bandwidth and decent ideas ever come to the fray.

Yeah it would be good to see consoles and phones combining to allow internet accesss through your handheld. But also the 3G phones that are being worked on at the moment are rumoured to have decent games on them as this time round phones have JAVA built it. This allows full colour and better graphics so the games on mobiles should improve alot.

The only problem may be the size, handehelds may become a little bigger to cope with adding mobiles and may no-longer fit into your hands.
