Apologies if this has been posted 4,682 times before, but I thought I would just ask if anyone has successfully connected their Xbox to NTL broadband without telling NTL (to get another IP address etc) plus of course the £30 connection fee and £5 monthly charge. I've found out how to clone the MAC address etc, will give it a try tonight.

Sorry I meant £45, it's now £50 on ebuyer, so £55 with del, sounds like I got a bargain for £36!

Unless you have a router, you have to turn your modem off if you want to go on the xbox after the pc everytime... Might buy a router soon.

I got the info from nthellworld.co.uk forums, so I just need to put MAC address into the Xbox dashboard, switch off NTL box for 30 secs, connect Xbox to it and power both up and Bob's your uncle ?

Sounds easy .....

Yes mate. I have. Its easy to do so.

I have 3 computers in my house, and we all want to get on the internet. So i bought myself a cable router for £40. Now i can connect all the computers to the internet. Also, I have a smaller hub next to this pc where my Gamecube and Xbox are, and i have all 3 plugged into that hub so all of them can get online.
