Did you know that most of the Killzone screenshots on the web are going to be nearly 18 months old by the time the game gets released?

i hate the idea that the makers could have just sat there, feel their ass grow and wait for the hype to reach fever pitch. smart AND lazy. ingenious.

It looks amazing coming from a PS2.

This is probably the game that will make me find my PS2. True story, it is in the loft somewhere.

Me looking forward to it mucho.

Unconfirmed at this time.
There is definitely an online component though.

September-November 2004 (estimate)

Definitely for the PS2. The whole concept behind the inception of the game was that Lost Boys (now Guerilla) found a way to squeeze more performance out of the PS2 graphics. They sent a demo to Sony and Sony were amazed and said: "OK, make a game out of it." Considering how far advanced everything looks at this stage I can't really see it being delayed except for the online component which'll need to be tested throughly. December 2004 at the latest I guess.

> COULD IT BE A FLOP!!!

The code we played back in November 2003 was old, OLD code, at least 6 months old, but although the AI wasn't tweaked and the levels weren't finished and there was no menu system, the levels we played looked like the complete versions and you had an inkling of where they were going with the AI (what AI there was was pretty damn good). Considering that we'd have paid £40 there and then just for that demo disc, I dread to think how good the final version is going to look when you consider it'll have had at least another years' work on it.

They could release that old disc and it would be a runaway hit. Considering the hype generated since that disc, in terms of sales it can't possibly a flop. In terms of gameplay (will it be too tough, will it be too easy? etc), we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

i absolutely fell head over heels for the first screen shots of it. the manufacturers tiny description was mouthwatering too. it seemed to match the game perfectly in its choice of words and tone.

i was pishing my pants when i heard at one point they hadnt even confirmed that they were going to make it. i really think this game will be huge.

cant remember some of the facts, because i havent heard anything about it in ages, so:

is it multiplayer (+how many if it is) ?

whats the estimated release date (too far away i guess) ?

your views on the chances of the game being heavily delayed, even first game on the next ps3?

COULD IT BE A FLOP!!!
