Pac-Man vs. giveaway for Europe

Electronic Arts and Namco announce that the European version of R: Racing for the GameCube will ship with a free copy of Pac-Man vs. next month.

Electronic Arts and Namco have today announced that the European version of R: Racing for the GameCube will ship with a free copy of Shigeru Miyamoto's Pac-Man vs. The multiplayer version of Pac-Man, which is exclusive to the GameCube, was also given away with other games in North America when it was released in December last year.

I think the idea was to release the bonus disc a few weeks before release of the full game, but this didn't happen.

The Rogue Squadron bonus disk is pointless

Everything on it is in the actual game, so what the hell is the point of giving it away...

I paid £30 for Jap version of Racing Evolution & Pacman Vs before Xmas, sold Pacman for £12 a week later - wasn't for me.

Paid £8 for USA Rogue Squadron bonus disc on it's own - the original Star Wars game is great.

Plenty on the bonus discs crop up for sale on their own on fleabay etc.

Bring on more bonus discs ....

But that's the thing... these days if you buy a full priced game you expect to get something with it...

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes... £30? Only if i get that bonus disc!

Rogue Squadron 3? Ditto.

What about PRince of Persia? That's it be a good company and knock a tenner off the price.

R-Racing and PAcman Vs. for £30 odd doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

Yer, I want that R: Racing game, and Pac Man will be a bonus. But can I really persuade myself to buy a new game full price...

Well, actually the last game I did was SSX3, but that last before that was Wind Waker (and that was only to get the bonus disk then!) lol
