No I think you're right. Like I said before, it'd be cooler receiving something on a day that isn't Valentines day because you would feel that your loved one didn't feel pressured into buying you something.
Doesnt have to be like valentines day everyday. Most people just dont give 2 hoots about a relationship untill such event approaches. Then prob most only make an effort to save getting earache off there partner.

I think it's cooler if you suprise a girl on a day that isn't Valentines day. It means more.

If every day was like Valentines it'd get boring pretty quickly.
