Well, ok, Birches are pretty droll and don't laugh much, but the oak is pretty funny and the larch is virtually a stand-up comedian.
And have you ever heard a Sycamore sing? Wonderful.

If a cow laughed, would milk come
> out of her nose?
No, cows don't laugh, humour is a distinctly homo sapiens trait, also now believed to be part of the simian trait as well, but as yet that is unconfirmed.
When cheese gets it's picture taken, what does
> it say?
Nothing, cheese can't speak.
How come 'abbreviated' is such a long word?
Because it has many letters, unlike 'tiny', which only has four letters.
Why does
> sour cream have a 'Best Before' date?
Because after the best before date it turns into something completely different, gradually working its way along the lactic evolutionary scale to cheese.

See "If a cow laughed...". Same answer, trees do not have a sense of humour. (To our knowledge).
Why is a carrot more orange than an orange?
The word 'orange' derives from the Arabic entymology, having been through both French and English dialects. The carrot was never actually named after the colour, the colour was actually named after the orange. The carrot is merely a brighter shade of orange hence the confusion.
Do fish

Sometimes.
Why are there 5 syllables in the word
> 'monosylabic'?
The deriviation of the word 'monosylabic' stemmed from years of academic research into Sniper's posts on these forums. Academics are not known for their brevity, instead they are more noted for stringing lots of Latin bits of words together to form new complicated ones. Blame Oxford for this one.
Why is lemon juice mostly artificial ingredients
> but dishwasher liquid contains real lemons?
Organically grown lemons contain only trace elements of artificiality. Man made lemon juice contains many artificial ingredients for cost and hygene purposes. Dishwasher liquid contains real lemons in only minute trace quantity, because people like the smell.
How much deeper
> would the ocean be if sponges didn't grow in it?
It wouldn't, it would be shallower.
Why did Kamikaze
> pilots wear helmets?
To protect them from dying or being knocked unconscious from flak wounds as they sent their planes plummetting towards their targets.

This is why cats and most animals can see in the dark, because they have the nerval ability to register the lower end of the light spectrum.
Light/Darkness same thing, just differing variations on a permanently existing spectrum of energy.
Cant we just leave this unanswered questions unanswered?! :-)
