Bought this off eBay the other day, expecting it to arrive tomorrow, but I'm actually away for the weekend, rubbish.

Anyway, anyone else got this game? I played the demo and thought it was great. Couldn't put my finger on what made it so good, and I didn't get through it very far. Kept dying, but didn't mind replaying through again and again.

So, thoughts?

Yeah, it is a fairly tough game at first, just wait until you come against the zombie-like robots, but soon becomes less of a challenge when you get some better weapons. I'm yet to give Nuts of Steel a try, but I'm sure it'll be stupidly hard.

There are a few glitches in collision detection and the controls can sometimes get annoying (I gave up right near the end thanks to one very annoying fault).

Still, it's a great game.

Played the single player for about an hour last night and it's bloody good. There are some graphical glitches, but they don't affect the game.

All in all it's a good, fun blast 'em up. The cut scenes are very funny, as someone has already mentioned. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but hopefully giving it a go tonight.

I must be the worst games player ever, because I'm doing the game on easy, but I've already died about three times, and I'm only on level 3 I think! Another good thing about this game is when you die, you go straight back in at the last checkpoint you past, and there seem to be a fair number of these on the early levels, so there's not too much replaying of levels if you get to a difficult bit.

I have to say, so far, I think it was a damn good buy, especially for 16 quid new, and still sealed....

I find it really, really good, especially with the vehicles and other bots scattered around the levels. It's not just a crappy little game mode knocked up for extra points.

I too am interested in this game - haven't played a decent shooty-platformer for ages. And it's cheap. And it has a multiplayer mode with vehicles and stuff. If anyone could give me an honest opinion on the deathmatches, would much be appreciated ta.

It is brand new, still sealed. I didn't realise Play were doing it cheaper, it was a spur of the moment kind of bid, which I ended up winning the auction with.

Hopefully I'll get chance to play it tonight, and post some thoughts on here tomorrow....

Not too bad, although Play were selling it a couple of weeks ago for £15 brand new in the January sales.

Still, worth it.

16 quid, which I thought wasn't too bad.

I was hoping it was going to arrive yesterday, but it looks like it'll be tomorrow now.

Rubbish.

Damn, you just reminded me how excellent a battletanx game would've been online.

Online it would be brilliant, especially tank-battles.

Cool.

If it were online I'd grab it on Monday.
