Yes, the refereeing can be annoying at times, however the free kicks are far from crap. You just have to master the system, and you will get better by practice. Unlike FIFA, where you just have to have good eye-hand co-ordination to line-up a bar. Pfft. Primitive. The teams that are licensed are good, and some geezer from Konami said they're planning on having all clubs licensed in PES4. The names are fine, though - all the main players are there, and who cares if a couple of Saudi Arabia players have the wrong name?

Don't run and shoot at the same time - slow to a jog. Then curl it yourself.

Your opinion, but in comparison to other games, they're actually the best. They might be the worst, but they're the most realistic, anyway. They can't magically dive from one side of the goal to the other to prevent a rocket shot (FIFA and Club Football), and keepers in real football fumble the ball occasionally as well.

Erm, my patched version is better than Fifa. Depends how involved you want to be, if you're gonna sit and be mardy, then, yes, they don't sdpend all their money on advertising/liscenses and none on the game, like Fifa.

can have their moments of insanity but I've seen loads of top class saves from some pretty poo keepers.

also it helps trying to run away from the ball then doing it so you meet it lower down for a volley.
as for overheads, try running past the cross and then tapping, because that helps stop him head and actually do a bicycle.
also, you can set yourself up for screaming volleys by doing an okocha flick and then shooting.

on a separate note. i dont have fifa 04, but from my experience of 03 and pes3 means that neither have "true difficulty" as i call it. basically, the higher level you play at, is shammed against you, by you being pollocks. it's not the oppo being tactically brilliant, or ball control wizards. it's just simply rediculously good keepers and them screwing your passes.
i agree with whoever said pes3 keepers are shocking, however it is definitely "the best".

on iss64, u could run up to a player and hit them, if the camara was not on your player then the ref nether saw it, class.
used to do that to the goaly all the time, then get a 50 yard goal.
also funny, playing multiplayer, running up and knocking over your buddy, who also happened to be on the same team as you.
