"Kirby Air Ride"

Got this today and I have to say, it's really, really good.

After seeing NOM give it 57% I wasn't expecting much, but still got it because I've had high hopes for this for a while now, and luckily it's great fun. It is very easy (having said that, I've only played the first level a few times), but it's fast-paced and really good fun.

It just shows how crap NOM are.

Of course, I'll have to play it a little more to really see how good (or, indeed, bad) it is, but first impressions are great and I can imagine multiplayer is going to be very, very good. Certainly a nice surprise by Nintendo, redefining (in a sense) the racing genre.

Yup, it was released last Friday. Seems pretty long too; out of the three check-lists (each consisting of 120 challenges) I've done 7 on one, 8 on another and the one I've played most, Air Ride, 27. Been playing it for a fair few hours, too.

Harvest Moon + Twin Snakes are mine.

is it out here now ? I borrowed a JPN copy before Xmas and enjoyed it, bit repetitive in my opinion but better than the reviews imply ....

Famitsu agrees with you Rickoss they thought it was ace.

They're wrong about Kirby's Air Ride. Everyone is. Except me.

Nah, NGC are the best. And they gave Harvest Moon 91%.

Yeah, they slated it so much. And NGC's opinion I tend to go with. So I won't be getting Kirby's Air Ride.

Kirby is an absolute genius.
He was amazing in the two Smash Bros so his game has got to be good.

I really can't see how it could get such bad reviews though, it's such good fun to play. It really does remind me of SSBM in it's happy-go-lucky atmosphere and care-free gameplay, but there are enough innovative touches to give it that little bit of depth without being complex.

I honestly couldn't see how onyl 1 button could be used throughout the entire game, but it really, really works. Simplicity reigns supreme, and the Top Ride levels prove that, which like I've already said are hguely frantic.
