If you look at my stats you'll see that I'm well within the criteria to become a regular, yet my tag say newbie. Is it automatic, or do I have to wait for SR to do it?

Bada-boom. Hey I'm a regular now! I've only been coming to this site for about a year! If you worked out the number of posts and applied it to a pub scenario then you'd probably be very drunk indeed.
