How many of you agree that graphics come second to gameplay? Nearly all of you but is this so? How many of you honestly think looks mean nothing?

Come on hands up wow a lot of you. Now how many of you think Nintendo is childish? Wow a lot of you again! Right now why? Oh right, the cute clouds, the lovely looking graphics. See what I’m getting at, you label Nintendo as a childish company because of the way the games LOOK.

Mario is enjoyed but virtually all Teenagers and Adults because deep down it is a clever game, brilliant puzzles and an expert learning curve. Would children appreciate this? I love Pokémon many of my sixth form buddies like Pokémon and why because they bothered playing it an enjoyed it. Blood and swearing doesn’t make it mature, in fact probably the opposite.

Childish games? Teletubbies, Tweenies and Bob the Builder are childish games because they are meant to be. Mario looks cute but as I say looks mean nothing and it is what is inside that counts! Pokémon lets ignore the cute graphics. You control various animals that beat up others and so your animals can become stronger and beat up more animals. You beat them up by setting them on fire, electrocuting them and blowing them up! Now that isn’t childish and so by adding cute graphics it automatically becomes childish?

No it doesn’t and I continue to battle on and insist Nintendo are not a childish company it just looks childish. Nintendo know this, they are making both Luigi and Mario look more grown up hence the jeans and by doing so these cute games will no longer be as cute and more acceptable by the Adult and Teenage generation.

Lets hope Nintendo can do it.

Er, hello? Super Monkey Ball, what the hell is that then?

Look, I'm not going to argue about this but Nintendo are childish. This doesn't make them worse games, they're still fantastic but an awful lot of them are.

Another thing, Nintendo know have a childish image but it's going to take a hell of a lot more than jeans and a couple of scary titles to change that.
