Which one should i chose....


AMD 64 --3000
P4 3ghz.

I want to surf the net, type on mircosoft word, and most of all draw on paint.

I might want to even play on games. Yeah, i think i want to do that. ;)


Any help is welcomed, thanks in advance.

Apparently, a lot of AMD's architecture is freely open for other companies to use, maybe Intel have decided they can actually put it to good use? time will tell!

Not so long back I would have agreed with you. Now though the new Pentiums seem to be slowly drawing away and taking a leaf from AMD's past.

It's neck and neck really between the 3200 64 and the P4 3ghz, it's debatable but I'd recommend the AMD as they have the cool and quiet technology, something the P4's don't have, I've heard they generate a fair bit of noise and heat.

May i just mention that those test were done on an Athlon *XP* not *64*! Check out the Athlon 64 ones, it hammers the XP chips!

Ha, good old P4 3.0ghz prett much came up trumps everytime.
