Just wondered what video(s) you like for bands.
Doesn't have to be a band you listen to, can just be a video you like, regardless of the artist.
Mine, in no particular order right now are:

Badly Drawn Boy "Spitting in the Wind"
Tool "Prison Sex"
Henry Rollins "Liar"
MOP "Ante Up"
Travis "Sing"
Radiohead "Knives Out"
Radiohead "Street Spirit"

And more when I think of them and can remember

I despise the Frontier Physiatrist video, its awful. I heard the track when the album came out - loved it, totally ripping off Kid Koala, but fantastic track anyway. Was really looking forward to the video after the blissful Since I Left You video and was thoroughly disappointed. Pile of quirky rubbish. All the artistic qualities of a soggy novelty condom. Now have a bad taste in my mouth every time I hear the song, don't even need the video to be there.

Good video? Currently loving Nikka Costs, Like A Feather (quite literally, live version playing on Win Amp). Inspired in its simplicity, empty stage with Nikka Costa, and microphone and a lighting rig in the background. She's got so much personality and is such a talented entertainer she needs nothing else. Added to that the brilliant colouring (only three block colours really, black of the stage, blue and red in the lights and Costa’s clothing) and... its just bloody great.

Last DRE single was also had a good video, name escapes me at the moment. Paranoid Android – now what was the character used in that? I can remember his show was on late night Friday on Channel 4… Beastie Boys’ Three MCs and One DJ – just for the cool video mix of the track J

Aphex Twin...*shudder*

Evil, evil videos. Excellent, but disturbing as hell.

They are by a guy called Chris Cunningham.
Also made a video for U.N.K.L.E "Rabbit in your headlights", basically a guy walking through a traffic tunnel being knocked over constantly.

Disturbing but great, great art.
Much like Tool.

Scary videos...

The Bluetones do some cool videos. That one for 'four day weekend' was done by manga and you could only get it on an import version as a VCD - but it's been on MTV since. Windowlicker by Aphex Twin is good, as is Thriller by Michael Jackson. Thriller is an absolute classic. There's one by Cibo Matto where it's 2 Japanese ladies split screen. One starts at night, the other at morning. They go forwards and backwards respectively through the video doing things that match up on either side, it's such a mindfun. They even have a bit where a cat goes through a catflap forwards on one side and comes out backwards on the other. They meet up in the middle though when one of the ladies crashes into another on a moped and the splitscreens swap sides and they start going the opposite ways to what they were already. Confused?! It's kerazzy, you have to see it to understand it completely - I think it's a paradox. I had it on video but lost it. Saw the video for Primus - 'Winonas Big Brown Beaver' today - really funny. Bjork has some good videos, though nothing compares to 'Sex Farm' by Spinal Tap.

The Gorrillaz vids aren’t too shabby either. Bit of a different concept but hey, it’s a music video…
