Argos are doing official GameCube controllers for £7.99 each! Don't know if its a mistake but I couldn't resist letting this slip. Sorry SR but this is a great offer.

I have 2 Wavebirds... one in full working order... the other with a damaged and thusly unworking L button.

4 normal controllers, 2 have been broken beyond repair.

1 Unofficial pad... not bad.

1 Hori Pad

2 GBA link leads and GBA's.

Hmm, I do have 3 official pads, 1 unofficial one, a Hori pad, a (slightly rewired but maybe fixable!) joybox thing to use my ps2 pad, and a gba I could get a link-up lead for, but I'm still tempted :^D

I used to have 5 controllers.

Now I've only got 2.

Smiths used to sell them for a tenner... they don't anymore so I feel safe telling ya.

SR did something similar with official memory cards, but removed the 'Nintendo' mark and put "Colour of design may vary".

The fact they show an official controller in the picture means they have to sell some sort of official controller. I am going to contact them and see what they say.

It'll just be them tricking us.

I think they have to put that to cover themselves. As far as I can see its an official controller.
