Before i buy this devil i need to know.
Do you need a GBA? i mean what is up with that. i heard somewhere that you need GBA's to play multiplayer like in four swords.

sorry people you need GBA's for multiplayer, you have to have 1 GBA person in multiplayer. single player you need only a normal controler. so its a good thing i have 2 GBA's (SP & original), and 2 link cables thanks to the one i got free. yay for me an my mate as we are going to conbine our characters once he gets the game and go around killing some old monsters. just so you know you can bring other charaters onto your game from another memory card

yeah as far as i know (I will when i get the game in a few days from amazon).

so u cant freely use it for any game as a extra controller,
You can only use the GBA with GC games in the manner it tells you in that games instruction book, in other words read the instructions ! :P
i also have a official gameboy player does that affect it?
i tried it on my SP, and yes i had the power on with full power,
