I think this is great news, with such a high profile company giving IE 6 the boot, and Microsoft under way on Internet Explorer 9, that hopefully IE 6 will see its remaining users upgrade or download a different browser, and Hmmm... can finally make use of my article CSS Rounded Corners - a feature you may not be familiar with!!! :)

Hi Dragonlance,
I didn't take it as derogative :¬)
I think you're probably right - simple is often best...

On topic, I guess that means all of the hospitals in bristol will be without google support now then. May prompt the IT department to actually bother to do something other than drink coffee and do something about the systems.
Seriously, they didn't know what a "chassis intusion detection error" was. I had to google it and find out how to clear it myself... well without google, THEY will need to do it now :p
According to Google Analytics:
In the last month I've had 53,498 visits :¬)
38,094 visitors (71.21%) used IE
IE 8.0 24,158 visitors (63.42%)
IE 7.0 11,282 visitors (29.62%)
IE 6.0 2,654 visitors (6.97%)
I was surprised how many IE users were using IE8
IE6 users are pretty small (mostly the NHS and MOD!)
I'm hoping to make Freeola's Hottest sites soon!
A couple of the listed sites do let you see their visitor stats - a bit confusing as if they are accurate my site should be listed!?!
Q: Freeola, when is this page updated?

Just had a quick browse through analytics on some client sites. Your IE6 stats are quite low compared to most of mine, still in 10-15% category, and theres one at 20% (IE usage is in the minority there though).
I see plenty of IE8 usage in the 60s though. Where it tends to drop is in sites that are visited mostly by businesses. Its not just the NHS and MOD that dont upgrade. ;)
