You've been shipwrecked on an uninhabited tropical island, in uncharted waters, no hope of rescue, EVER.

The only good thing in your favour is a plentiful supply of locally grown produce to live off, decent living accomodation, and, amazingly enough, a 240v powersupply, Sony Wega 32" Widescreen T.V. and an unlimited supply of Pringles.

One day, a crate washes up on the shore. You see a 'Documents Enclosed' envelope on the side, and eagerly ripping it open you see the words:

"Enclosed is your new console and your one game, we wish you many hours of pleasure."

Considering that this game has to last you the rest of your natural life, and the chances of another crate washing up in the same manner are zero, which console and game do you most hope is in that crate? And why?

If that was the scenario then I'd decline the console and make my own fun...

Why is it always a desert island? Why don't we ever get stranded in the central reservation, with no hope of rescue? Or lost in the nevada desert? Or in the artic? Or thw lingerie section of M&S? Or a particularly tricky hedge maze?

Even a tropical island would make a nice change.

i would like a PS2 and the gane would be Metal Gear Solid 2(because ive been on there so long it has finally come out), i would choose this simply because the PS2 is the best console ever!, and MGS2 is going to be brilliant ive had ago on the demo and that game is gonig to be the best game out by far, it's got loads of brilliant gaming hours on it of fun, excitment, drama, statergisen and many more things it might take a while to complete and theres bound to be secrets and stuff to find out it would last u ur whole life and its got a motor and a fan in it u could build a small raft and away u go if u get a potatoe to power it on the way.

does the island have power?, if not then theres no point but if there is thats m choice

If I was gonna play just one game to the end of my days, it would have to be a classic, pure and addictive "high score" game... so inside the crate I'd want to find a DC with Crazy Taxi 2.
