I think RE4 could do very well over here as well as Japan...

But the Japanese are falling out of favour with Resi.

But the Japs love Resi evil.

Gamecube is doing badly in Japan.

It was worth it at £130 purely for the Resi remake and Sunshine, not to mention Eternal Darkness and all the other top stuff on offer. If it doesn't pick up between now and Resi 4 I can't really see it making a huge difference outside of Japan.

ED's fighting system was surprisingly great. I was expecting it to play like Resi. It would need a little bit of a twiddle for projectile weapons though.


I think that Nintendo could shift LOADS of units if it marketed it as a budget console. Once it's down to £50 + a game (it will be eventually), it'll be worth it for Metroid Prime or the Resi Series, or for multiplayer classics like Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers.

Resident Evil 4 was announced for the PS2 at about Christmas 2000.... the Gamecube announcement that we will be getting RE4 exclusive came in September 2001... it is now March 2004.
