I recently bought Diddy Kong Racer(USA) only to find it won't work. The seller has told me "Its probably your hardware love!". Now I don't know much about convertors but I can play MarioKart with no probs.
My convertor is a Blaze Ultra64 SFX ver 2.0. Now I know that there are Issues with newer games but DKR is 1997 same as MarioKart so if one works surely the other should.
Anyway if anyone owns or has info on this convertor I would be very grateful. I can then sound knowledgeable when I speak to the seller tomorrow.

Diddy Kong is great in 1 player!
Mario Kart is great im Multpilayer although the multiplayer levels do seem a bit...........bland.
DKR is much more pretty and colourful, both good games really.
Remember MK was one of the first games on the N64 wheras DK came out onve designers were "used" to the consoles.

Mario cart 64 is aweful in comparison to the SNES version. the only improvement is 4 players, and even this isn't as good as the didy kong options

I disagree with you points
Mario Kart is extremely slow, it is repetitive, and the computer cheats so badly
Diddy Kong Racing is fast, offers new challenges along the way, has a good championship thing, versitile as you have a hovercraft, a car and a plane to fly, there are cool characters and 2 secret ones

besides, mario kart is the original kart racer, diddy kongs just another spawned re-make, no dis-respect to rareware, but it's not exactly one of their best games exactly is it?

Diddy Kongs just a big pile of overated pap, think Mario Kart with preety graphics but no speed and youv'e got diddy kong.
i don't think many people can find diddy KONG either, i'm not particulary bothered about owning diddy kong because i personally think that Mario Kart is better, who agrees? i can't wait for mario kart GBA because apparently it's the best yet!
