Why do people campaign to become notables?

I know this may seem like a number of things, all bad towards me, but it's something I can't get my head around.

"Why"

So they (non of the notables at the moment, just the wanna be notables') can look down on everyone else. Kind of like the kid who was always that bit taller than everyone else to get to the top of the climing frame and then shouted, "I'm the king of the castle, and you're the dirty rascle!"

To me, there are only a handful of true regulars.

I always start topics from the main forum. I however do use the forum link on the right.

We don't really need reply quoting either... we could just copy the post and paste it in. It wouldn't bother me, anyway.

Always just hit the link just above the top

But then that's me, I'm strange like that.

I went to click reply to say I do the same as Goatboy and clicked report this message :D

I do, and I also have never used the "return to forum" thing on the far right.
Always just hit the link just above the top thread.

To be honest, I don't know why the "Start new topic" link is down there.

If people want to start new tpics, they do it from the main page.

Don't they?

Hmmm is anyone else finding all the links at the bottom of posts annoying?

Too clustered, easy to press wrong one and it smells :D

I think I came 4th or 5th without even trying to.

A bit scary really, seeing as I have made it abundantly clear that I know nothing, offer little but fart jokes and taunts at Dan to go mental and generally act as Shiva The Destroyer around here.

I voted for Guru, because I thought it would have been funny.

My previous "campaign" slogan stands true:

A vote for the Goat is a vote for retarded children driving buses through the info superhighway.

Wookiee, I think pb was around that number as well. So it looks like it's out of you three again.

Which is annoying as all of you are on my short list.

I think I got 6 - Goaty got 7. Don't recall the rest myself.

In the words of the Prudential adverts...

"I want to be... a Notable."

Or I'll thkweem and thkweem and thkweem until I'm thick.

Oh wait... I'm already thick.

This SR system is messed up anyway. If Ronald McDonald has taught me anything, it's that the next level up from "Regular" is "Large"; after that comes "Super Size", and I'm already there.
