Today consoles have reached a level of 128bit, at this stage consoles and consoles available in a few months will be able to produce the best graphics yet to be seen on a home console. But 128bit is what I think a stage not quite ready and has to be a bit better and more powerful to give games and consoles developers and us the buyers what we really want.
We now have the power and technology to create games that go beyond a consoles certain limits so people like Nintendo have to come up with things like the Expansion PAK! And games developers have to say cut off online multiplayer, tone down graphics and frame rates, and make our gaming experience not what it should be!
At the minute we have developers accross the world thinking hard and brainstorming through pads and pads of paper to make games that can do everything we want them to do with the technology we have now!
Shigeru Miyamoto:
Shigeru Miyamoto has been working with Nintendo all of his career. Nintendo started out making playing cards and then slowly progressed to start out in electroical goods. Shigsy as he is now known has made some of the best games ever like Donkey Kong 64, The Zelda series which have been on every Nintendo console yet! Also he made the first fully interactive 3D world and characters....Super Mario 64 a game that any N64 owner should not be without and yet another Shigsy creation.
Nintendo's latest project has been with the production of GameCube Nintendo's latest and newest console at 128bit and without a doubt Shigeru Miyamoto has got plenty a' amnount of storming games for it on release and for years after!
Hideo Koshima:
Hideo Koshima works mainly for a company that I know quite a bit about but not as much as Nintendo, but this is something I know the likes of TBN etc. will pick up on especially any mistakes. But Hideo Koshima has made some of the greatest games for the PSX and PS2 and his best I think are the 2 Metal Gear Solid games.
The first Metal Gear games were out on early Nintendo machines but from the PSX onwards they have been put under the magical hands of Hideo Koshima and his team! He puts a great storyline, graphics and gameplay! Another great developer!
Bill Gates:
He is the owner of the world famous and worldwide used Microsoft and making over 2.2 million pounds per second, you'd be fooled into thinking otherwise after looking at his hair cut.
Bill Gates is not a games or console developer, but the owner of the spectactular looking XBOX and PC games. Microsoft XBOX looks to have a FEW great titles but not as promising as the PS2 and GC titles, it should do OK, also being the proud owner of Microsoft, there are many excellant games to look forward to this year and next year for our PC's!
So, a developer's world would be what? 256bit cpu's in consoles at least 700mhgz processor in each? Regular Disc or 8cm optical discs, backwards compatible DVD compatible?
Well I think a games developer would love to be able to design a game that could be as powerful as it is needed to support top graphics, no loss if framrate, Online capabilitys etc. everything that we know think is required in a game but not always possible.
But I am going to point out another thing that developers worry about when designing a game or a console is a control system. Console designers and developers will think, about how it fits comfortably into your hand? HOw many buttons? It must work with every game, and games designers worry about how will he make this work if that button already does that etc.
And I think that it is right to worry about that, because a lousy controller or controll system can ruin your whole gaming experience and give you hand crap and sore thumbs!
Which is why at the minute I see the GameCube's controller at the top PS2s second and the massive XBOX controller in thrid!
But as the PC is usually used nowadays for multiple and different types of games, shouldn't a universal controller be released like on Consoles using only one type of controller. Different companies could produce their own style of the controller for a greater choice in choosing.
Also the current price of these PC controllers should droop from 20-30 pounds to £10-15 at least! I think a new control system that worked with every game, make controlling FPS games, games like Max Payne, Unreal 2, and things like RPG's much easier to control than having to remember R does this and J does this!
Games could still be controlled the way they are now but would just add a better choice and give a better gaming experience and could bring PC games up to the top for good, becuase it would be a shame to see some of the best games like Unreal 2 ALien vs Predator 2 go to waste, because of lack of sales.
And after reading some posts and in magazines bout 20ghz computers by the year 2007 who knows what to expect from games in that era!

Good night!
I don't know what it is yet but there MUST be something ;-)
If they had unlimited specs they would go straight for the graphics, whichout having to go through their trickbook to get the best out of it, resulting in sloppy code that causes the patches in the pc world.
As they develop games they say "well, how can we make this little box do this?" and then work it out. with them learning to do things with what they have they tone themselves as better writers for the days when the specs rise. If the PS1 had PS2 specs I doubt the quality of the games would have been as good as they are for the ps2 now.
