As is the way with dreams, there is very rarely a beginning, middle and end, therfore, my dream starts in the middle.
So there i was, on a plane, bound for the city of angels, the sunny city of LA (or so i am lead to beleive by the information on the back of the seat.) There i am, laying comfortably across all three seats, aisle middle and window, happily reading my inflight magazine, no details about what, i just remember it saying "In-flight magazine on every page".
Suddenly, over the tannoy, comes an announcement that we are going to be flying through a storm. I hear everyone on the plane gasp and mutter worriedly to each other...
Then, just as abruptly, we are told by the captain, "Ladies and Gentlemen, the England Football team's plane has just crashed due to the severe weather, we have no other news on their wellbeing"
Then my memory of the dream becomes somewhat hazy. Lightning *struck* the plane, opening up a sort of gash, along the right side of the plane, kinda like a scar, but in a "ripped through metal" way. Everyone is strapped into their seats, and screaming as things fly out of this gash. Then there is another flash of light, and we see a man fly through the gap. Confusingly, but i suppose luckily, he has a rope tied around him, to which the other end is tied some form of heaviness within the plane. So a couple of people in nearby seats pull him in, and its Harrison Ford.
The next thing i remember is the plane making an emergency landing at the airport, where someone is trying to kill people with poisoned biscuits. Then the phone rang, waking me up.
My mate said that i watch too many films, if anyone else has any insight into this highly weirdness of dream, feel free to tell.
other crazy dream stories would also help me feel less confused.

As I did a mother-like overview of her, I felt my eyes stinging, welling-up, and the warm tears stream down my face. She wasn't covered with a blanket and I briefly looked about for where there might be one. I worried she was cold. There was an IV injected into her ankle with a round device affixed to it.
I didn't want anyone to touch her. I felt like if I could just cradle her like I did when she was a baby, she'd come to and every thing will be alright. I wondered if she even wanted me there. I felt so helpless.
I woke up in tears.

I believe it's our brains way of completing unfinished thoughts between when we last awoke and fell asleep. If you think about your day there are a load of thoughts you have that you don't actually act on, for example you may think "I'll do the washing up" and go to bed with a sinkfull of pots waiting for you the next morning.
Our brains need "closure" on each thought process and dreams are the brains way of "decluttering" the days thoughts and completing the thought process.
The reason you tend to get dreams more when you get stressed is because your mind goes all over the place with hundreds of thoughts each day which you cannot act upon (and wouldn't want to act upon). I get loads of weird dreams every night when I'm under pressure at work etc and some of them can be horrific but they're just dreams and doesn't mean you're going psycho!
I was running a marathon that happened to go through my town, it seemed familiar because i think i've had the same dream before and in it i always end up runnerup. This time i won though and 2nd place went to Gregory Hines (Dancer) and 3rd to Tony Hadley who for some reason was dressed as Sherlock Holmes.
When i'd won Gregory Hines came up to me and said "We never stop trying to do what our parents want us to do, even if it's not what we want. My dad f**ked me good!" I'm sure he meant in relation to running when he didn't want to.
Analysis please?
*Stops cutting wrist*
Anyone familiar with my state of mind wouldn't at all be surprised at this. :)
