I have a .htpasswd protecting the admin area of my site(s) but it is timing out.
I thought the auth was valid until you cleared your cache.
Any ideas?
Neil

I'm not familiar with Joomla so don't know if there's any help for your here: joomla admin session timeout
Hopefully someone else will be able to help more.
[s]Hmmm...[/s] I've never known this to happen before.
Could be those parameters you mention. No idea.

I'm only using htpasswd to protect simple html pages, is your 'admin system' more sophisticated?
i.e. If you are using PHP then running phpinfo() shows there are session timeout parameters in place.
If you are using the admin system from a CMS then this might be making use of this or have further controls in place perhaps?
[s]Hmmm...[/s] Very odd.

I think it's 'session' based rather than cache related...
EDIT: I'm using Freeola Standard hosting.
