"Gameboy Advance is it really 32bit?"

ok i have just seen the screen shots for Mario Advance II and yes it looks exactly like the Super Nintendo version but the SNES was a 16bit console right? And the GameBoy Advance is a 32 bit console so why do we keep seeing conversions from 16 bit machines?(Mario 2,Earthworm jim). Maybe i have missed something so can someone please explain

You silly boy, what difference does a processor being 16bit or 32bit have to do with graphics?? Nothing, all it means is a 32bit can handle more data in a single clock cycle than a 16bit processor.

You've only just seen Super Mario Advance screenshots? Hmm...


To answer your question, it's because developers find it easier to bulid on an existing gfame then start one from scratch. It's also cheaper, takes less time and takes less effort, as well.

There are First Person Shooters coming to the GBA

Because Nintendo didn't make a 32bit machine.

They have to build on the SNES games or make totally new ones. As was mentioned earilier making a new games costs money, time, effort etc
