So, they are doing a job, this commission, they have to keep racial equality in society, making sure any acts of discrimination are dealt with and changed - they aim to make racial discrimination a thing of the past, and yet are they doing this correctly? Well, racism has gotten a lot better, but still I know people who feel they have been turned down because of the colour of their skin, they report this discrimination and occasionally nothing happens.
Whether you are Asian, African, European, American, or Australasian, I will not hold any grudges against you - I am completely non racist, but then I do not hate racist people - what would that make me if I did hate them?! A racist, exactly. However, I disagree with their viewpoint, and I feel racism is a bad aspect of today's world, it happens non stop, and the situation is getting worse.
Pre-conception. People automatically make judgements about others just from the colour of their skin "oh, a group of white youths, they're only there to make trouble" and "Oh a rastafarian (apologies if miss spelled), he's surely on drugs", I do not like this stereotyping - everyone is entitled to their views, but racism is wrong, racial equality is right, and the world would be a better place if we could all get along with one another.
I have many Asian friends, I have many Indian, African and even some Chinese friends, I do not class any of them in a different way - they are all people, we are all the same, we're all different and that's why multi cultural societies are so interesting. Maybe you've been brought up to hate Americans, for instance. Maybe you have your 'reasons' why you do, but think this for a moment - what has happened in the past, has happened, everything happens for a reason, the world is a continuous cycle - and hatred in it can only slow that cycle & make it worse.
"Love thy neighbour" Well you don't have to, but if she's young, blonde and attractive then you have a good reason to! No honestly, I will not tell anyone how to live their lives, but if you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say it to offend them, that's how wars start. Religion is an important factor - contrasting beliefs, so what if you have a different God, or don't believe in God, or whatever? It's your life, you only get one turn, make it good for you, your friends and everyone around you.
Racial equality should not really be a phrase that is used because we should all get along anyway, but just over a 100 years ago, there was slavery, black people were discriminated against - difference scares people, and bad things happen. But today, if a certain person gets a job, over a different person, solely due to the colour of their skin then that sickens me and this attitude should be left in the past, and never again be taken up by human beings.
Thanks so much, racial equality is brilliant, we are all equal, no one is better than you, no one is worse.
You are yourself, utilise your life and become the best person you can.
Thanks
