The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.
I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.
If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.
Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

Finished Dante's Inferno last night. A total of 610 points which takes me to a gamerscore 25,091... challenge complete.
My total on Dante's Inferno is now 285. It takes my total to 24766... getting close to the 25000.
A quiet day today - 25 additional points on Dawn of War II
My next two games are the talked about Velocity/Split Second and Alan Wake.
Have little or no clue about what to expec from either of them, so when they arrive I am sure I'll have fun finding out. And that reminds me...must check how many more I got from Monsters vs Aliens (review coming up soon!)

Another 200 points for Fracture...have finished the single player mode now and there was absolutely no one playing online for me to even attempt the online achievements (play 1500 games?) so I think that's enough of Fracture for me now.

I got 175 points on Dante's Inferno over the weekend.

I have had a fair whack of points off of Monsters vs Aliens, but the specifics I'm uncertain of. Should have 2 shiny games coming my way. Not sure if I will reach the target, but at the same time, I'm just going to enjoy the gaming as it stands. If I get there, then that is great, if not, no major loss!
Or you could you try the lottery that is the auction house. I don't think you have to level up too much and it isn't really that difficult. Well, I never found it difficult. I got to level 40 something before I even had to buy a car.
I got 1 point on Forza 2... wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Apparently I need to go and level up to unlock the races that are required to unlock the cars required for the achievement.
