well i just took apart my dreamcast.....
......and ive fixed it!
The six prongs what suppy power to the dreamcast was sooo dirty and black
i cleaned them up and started up my dreamcast
I it dont restart :-D

Rememeber Dreamwarbird, those tips only worked for me. It might not work for you, but do tell me if it does!
Cheers guys, i havent thought about the dreamcast lid one before.
I had the resetting problem! However, I sorted it out buy using a weight to keep the lid closed. BUT make sure that you dont properly click the lid shut but make sure the lid only touches the Dreamcast without closing it. Then place a lid on it, to stop is from opening up again.
It should work, it solved my problem.
The main reason why Dreamcasts often reset after quite a time is because of the conacts between the lid either wearing out, or not connecting properly.
If it does keep resetting, then just buy a new one! You can get second hand Dreamcasts for about £40!!!! Thats lower than an XBox game!
