I'm a married man.

That means I have a wife.

We bought a new 28" widescreen TV last year.

We bought a great Samsung TV, in a lovely silver colour.

We had to replace our VCR just after Christmas.

The main feature that my wife was looking for was not Video Plus, Long Play, auto-tuning, or anything, but that it was also in silver.

Now do you really think that a black console is ever going to be allowed beneath the television?

The N64 just about gets away with it, as it's more of a deep gray other than a black -but the Playstation 2, that's as black a pitch.

So I'll get a GAMECUBE.

As long as it comes in a silver that matches the TV and the VCR.

Lasers and motors for the disc drive. If they even got a speck of paint on them it would be buggered.

It was originally planned for GC to come out in several colours, silver being one of them, but now it's been reduced to the original purple colour.

I have the same problem as you, so I'm going to do the same thing as I did to my N64. Try it yourself if you want:

Switch off the console and cover up all the important parts (plugs, lenses, vents etc.) so you don't damage it.
Now get some acrilic paint or spray paint and colour it silver, or paint a picture on it. Take of the tape and carry on as normal.

Hope that prevents a divorce. Just kidding!

Try it out. It works.

Just to add to this thread, we currently need a new CD Player/ Stereo.

My wife is looking for one that has much blue on it, to match the new sofa.

Honestly.

My black and purple PS2 goes nicely with my bedroom. So does my nice silver amp. It's a shame the decibels produced by the amp don't go well with my bedroom walls.
