Enter for in depth conversations on the living, breathing legends that is Feeder.

Anything from their early, grungy metal to their present upbeat / uplifting rock. They have contributed to Rock music things that other bands can only dreaming of. By writing their own lyrics and music, only doing live performences and playing their own instruments they put teeniebopper favourite's "S Club 7" in their place.

Having added numerous awards worldwide including "Greatest Heavy Metal Band Album of 1997" for their debut full album "Polythene."

Named the best Live band around, they overwhelm onlookers at festivals and concerts worldwide including in Japan, U.S.A, Germany, Italk, France, Spain and of course, The U.K.

No matter what mood, circumstance or emotional condition you're in, there's always a Feeder song to suit your situation. From the uplifting catchiness of Top 5 hit "Buck Rogers" to the moving and inspirational "Yesterday Went Too Soon."

Whether you like Rock, Pop, Metal, Indie, or Nu Metal, Feeder has a place in their Kingdom for you, and your dinner table is waiting for you to be uplifted by the bands amazing musical talent.

To summarise... God Save Feeder.

I actually don't think Slowburn is all that great, sure it's good but I like Emily better.

Anyway.

Today I went down to buy the Just a Day single, I popped into Woolworths first and when I went in they had one copy left, one copy!!!

I only had enough change for one of the CD's for Today and I wanted CD 2 but they only had CD 1 so I went off up to another record shop and to my Horror there wasn't ANY Just a Day singles left!! I asked behind the desk and they checked for me and they had one copy left and thankfully it was the one I wanted so I bought it.

Makes you wonder exactly how many people have snapped up this single, it can only be good news.

According to "the sun" Robbie and Nicole are miles ahead of every one else.

You never know it could change?

Just about all bands release 2 cds of their singles.

Both CD's are world class and it's hard to choose which is better. CD 1 has Can't Stand Losing You which is great, and it has Piece By Piece which is the koolest vid ever, but CD 2 is better simply for one reason... Slowburn.

I feel that I didn't put enough info into my review of Slowburn so I'll add some later tonight. It truly is an amazing song. Definatly another to add to Feeder's anthem list (High, Can't Dance To Disco, My Perfect Day). It really is tempting to call it the best song ever...

But anyway, my advice is to get bothe singles, you wont be disappointed. Trust me, when you hear Slowburn, you'll have the chorus in your head for ages. All day I've been singing, "WE TURN TO FACE THE STORM..." and my mates have been constantly telling me to shut up! And I've had some funnly looks from strangers to! But after I showed them the track, they got hooked on it and are gonna buy both cds this Saturday.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CD'S! It truly is a great release!

So which CD is better?

I say CD 2 with the Just a Day video, is one some sort of 'special edition' single as releasing both seems a little weird to me.

I'll probably end up with both though mind

:-)

Lol, lots of comments! Got both singles today and I have to say that they are probably one of the best set of CD’s (when all tracks and videos are included) that Feeder have released EVER. The tracks, without a doubt, will clear ANYONE'S mind of whether or not they have "sold out." Let’s got through the tracks and vids:

CD1:

Track 1: Just A Day (Edit)

Great track, good edit. You must have heard this by now, electric guitars thrashing around a fantastic uplifting melody with lyrics poured out through great vocals. Top track.

Track 2: Can't Stand Losing You

What a track. Anyone disagreeing with Feeder covering the Police hit will be silenced by this track. They've taken an old and, in my opinion, somewhat slow, boring song and have somehow managed to change it into a fast, heavy, classic song. They truly have made it their own. The old style guitar sound is still in place for the verses, and then the chorus kicks in with brilliant sounding heavy guitars and unbeatable vocals. Probably my fave track on the two singles.

Video: Piece By Piece

Now, a lot of people are confused how they made a video for the track but never released it, well, actually they did, but only in Europe. We got Turn, they got Piece By Piece, and even though I personally prefer Turn, after seeing this video, I instantly changed my mind and wish we'd had Piece By Piece released over here.
For those of you that haven't heard the track, it's a great, slow, melodic song with mostly fingerplay through out. The drumming is absolutely incredible, pure class.
Now onto the video. Those of you have seen the band's video for Paperfaces may notice that this video slightly resembles it, only this video is infinitely better. I always thought that Insomnia was Feeder's best video, but now I'm VERY tempted to change my mind.
This video is amazing. It's set in a train station and everyone is either walking backwards, walking backwards in slow motion, or repeating what they just did but in reverse. Meanwhile, while all this is going on, Grant Nicholas appears from the crowd and walks normally (i.e. not backwards) and boy does he look the part. I've never seen someone walk with so much style, so much attitude, and... well... so damn cool. (And no, I'm not gay).
Not a single lyric is song throughout this video, which, I suppose, adds to it's effect. Grant meets up with Jon, they get on a train, some cool handshakes are made between Grant and Taka (I didn't think it was possible to do a "cool handshake" either but watch the video and you'll see what I mean!) and although it may sound pointless and boring, it really isn't. It's a masterpiece.
The end of the video tops it off. Grant's sitting on a bench and as someone walks by, another Grant appears sitting next to him (!). This Grant then hands the original Grant a note and disappears. Grant then looks at the note and begins to run for the train. Again, I'll take this opportunity that the video ISN'T boring and pointless and that it's actually a work of art. Trust me, it's great. Best Feeder video along with Insomnia.

CD2

Track 1: Just A Day

See CD 1 Track 1.

Track 2: Emily

Now, I heard a preview of this song on the internet and though it sounded great. Today, I heard the full song, and thought it sounded better. This is truly old style Feeder, and simply puts claims of Feeder "selling out" into coffins. Emily is a classic track that would stand out but it doesn't simply because every single track on both CDs is fantastic. Emily is slow double guitar throughout the verses and gradually building up to the heavy thunderous chorus that blows you away. A great track and shows Feeder's talent well.

Track 3: Slowburn

Three words. What a track. Another song that instantly murders "sellout" claims. This track is stupendous, and is one of Feeder's greatest. Right up there with High and Sweet 16. This song REALLY shouldn't be just a b-side, but as Grant said "We don't make singles and B-Sides, we just make music."
The chorus will be stuck in your head for weeks. Heavy guitars throughout ensure that the song has your full attention. I'd love to see the look on any suspecting pop fan that bought this single's face! A legendary song. Words can't describe how great it is. Buy this CD. No, buy it. I mean it. You WONT regret it, and if you do, you're lying. Now get off your ar5e and do it.

Video: Just A Day

You've all seen it, go laugh.

Now, I still REALLY want Feeder to get to number 1 with this release, I really do, but if they don't, and tonnes of Robbie fans come up to me and laugh in my face, I'll simply shove CD 2 in and scream the lyrics to Slow Burn in their face and show them who really has talent. Feeder rule and anyone disagreeing needs to get a life, or if that's a little too hard for them, get a Just A Day CD.
