Rare are amazing... I love them and still do.
But Retro Studios, despite having a small studio, are made up of the worlds greatest first person shooter developers... including makers of Turok, Half Life and Goldeneye.
I truly cannot wait to see Metroid Prime 2... despite the fact I never got into Metroid Prime one (but I will... just you wait) this will probably knock everyones socks off.
Credit where credit is due, if you only really like FPS' then the X-box is obviously the console for you... and unless Geist and MP2 turn out to be the next big FPS thing then I doubt that'll change.

Then you're wrong.

Right so what about Harvest Moon? I meant to even consider that they might be even slightly alike is blasphemy.
But if it is multiplayer games you are after then where is Mario Party? Where is Pacman Vs?
I mean, bar the absence of online, I always presumed for great multiplayer games that the Gamecube is the console of choice.

Kameo apparently is this year. CBFD is currently floating around and August date (which was the month good old PD came out!) and PDO is looking like an end title for Xbox/launch title for Xbox 2.

I bought the N64 for Goldeneye, the N64 quickly became the console for FPS games and it rocked. Now that title is firmly with the Xbox AND they have Rare, who have had a shakey start (but in my opinion they had a shakey start on the N64 too).
Aside from Zelda:OOT I preferred Rare's later N64 games to pretty much all of Nintendo's offerings.

They were good but my gaming tastes have moved on.

Metroid Prime? No thanks. No multiplayer in the first and I'm not looking forward to the second.

Another adventure game. JOY. No multiplayer.
> Crystal Chronicles?
Really looks like it would annoy me. Multiplayer looks similar but inferior to about 3/4 games I already own
> Harvest Moon?
Nah. I played the sims a while back though.
> Mario Sunshine?
Never EVER. Platformers really aren't my idea of a good game.
Super

That's what the abbreviation SSBM stands for genius.

I really enjoy games against the clock they don't annoy me at all, honest, no really.

Goldeneye, CBFD and RoadRash are of the quality and style I wanted exclusive titles to be, WITH decent multiplayer modes I might add.

Yep most of my multiformat titles go on the big black HD.
Like Kameo, Perfect dark and Conker.

Nintendo have 2 western powerhouses that are easily as good as Rare, Silicon Knights (a fantastic horror/third person developer) and the brand new sparkling "RAre of America" Retro Studio's.
Sadly they are both tiny and need expanding to at least 3 teams each to be able to replace Rare.
But surly Capcom and Namco do an adaquet job.
