Why did Sega change DR. Robotnik to DR. Eggman? I prefer the old way.

I didn't even realise it had changed, but that's just me. I just recently noticed our fence was another colour; it was painted two years ago.
as do I, it was much better that way...especially with the Dr Kintobor storyline(although that was probably just invented to fit with robotnik...but I like it nonetheless)
