Okay, some of this post might not sense at all but it’s getting late, I’m tired and I think I’ve broke my thumb. Also I can’t think of what to write to get my word count over the required 10,000 and get a lovely new colour for my name. :-)

I’m currently got a programme on TV about music so hey, why not!

What do you think of the general quality of music in games? I was playing a demo version of AOE 2 the other day and the biggest thing to hit me was the poor quality music. Not only was it a cr@p tune but also the sound quality was like something from Civilisation! The thing is, that Microsoft probably paid a small fortune for an external company to come in and compose and record the music for the game, and yet the result is so poor! The quality of music can really alter the overall effect of the game, I mean look at all the scary kinda games on the PS (Silent Hill, Resident Evil etc) the music was really dramatic and added a real feeling of tension to the game.

And why don’t more games use real bands to produce the tunes?? I haven’t played GT3 yet so I don’t know what the music’s like on that but on GT it was great with artists like Fatboy Slim remixing their music especially for the game, Sony must have spent a small fortune. The same was with Tony Hawks but the bands were less well known. The music really made the game memorable to me and definitely enhanced it.

Lucky...

Yeah, I saw that site. It must have taken 5 minutes, including starting the program, doing the HTML and uploading it.
