Well, at first I must be honest, I thought it was complete sh*te. I didn't know anyone playing it and no one bothered to actually explain about all the shiznits involved aside from the two basic tutorials. Played it with 3 sorted lads this afternoon for a few hours and I have got into a bit more now and its actually muchos funos. I can't help but think 3 vs 3 would be a lot better but as it stands it is turning out to be quite decent. I need a few people who don't act like morons that play it regularly which shouldn't be too difficult.

So far its been a mixed bag, understand it more now though after realising my radar had been turned off since starting the game.

Will play it a bit more tonight and I am sure my opinion will change again. Enjoying it a lot more now though.

The only thing i hate about the game is the feel of it, it makes you feel like your on your own, nobody speaks, the Optimatch is confusing and its only 2v2.

I don't think you can merely write it off like that.

In terms of getting a quick game, it's rubbish. I once spent fifteen minutes trying to get a game, with no prerequisites, and then had to simply give up. This wasn't at any obscure time either - it was nine o'clock at night a few days ago.

The voice communcation seems fine to me.

Anyhoo, just completed the single player of Pandora Tomorrow. The last 2 levels of the game made me love it even more. Tis very satisfying to finally capture Sadono after trailing him around many a level.

Cannae wait for the downloadable levels now...

Last night, I WON the majority of the games that I played, and, as a Merc, I have probably won 6/10th's of my games. It's simply not atmospheric, which is probably down to 2 things...

-Poor Voice Communication
-Me not being able to have any sound on to hear the voice communication

The levels, for me, are simply too big for any kind of action, especially 2 on 2 - levels like the Cinema relly need an extra 2 people, to increase the action, as, now, it simply feels too isolated.

As I said, people who are rubbish at the game think it's cack.

Not all games are gonna be instantly playable from the word go you realise?
You gotta give some games time, there's real tactics involved. I guess it's just not for everyone.

I shouldn't have to learn the level design and play mechanics for it to be a brilliant game - I should be able to put it in, put on my headset, and have a cracking game.

Instead, all I get it poor voice communication, and aimless wondering around, laying a few hopeful mines and hoping to see a few spies.

Woo, exciting.

It's only tensionless if you either suck at it, or the people you're playing against suck at it.

It's got one of the most tense atmosphere's on the Xbox. Thing is, a lot of people will never find that because they haven't got the patience to learn the levels and learn the play mechanics.

Most the people who say the game's rubbish have only played it for a few hours. It takes a while to find the brilliance of the game, but beleive me, when you do it's one of the best games on Xbox.

SC:PT online, as a whole, is a completely tensionless and poor game.
