. Nintendo is set to unveil around 30 titles for its DS system at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year. (IGN)

. The mega selling Gamecube title, Tales of symphonia, is now being ported onto the PS2 curtosy of Namco. There is also a new Tales game due for the PS2. (Cube-Europe)

. Dennis Dyack, head of Silicon Knights, famously said at the launch of Eternal Darkness "I'd like to create a game with more style, like Metal Gear Solid". This was an evil little hint of course because the following year Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was released. This time however Dyack said "I'd really like to make an adult Zelda game to be honest, but I better not say anymore on that". Interesting. (IGN)

. The slightly enjoyable platformer, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, is getting an sequel. Cunningly named Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2. (Nintendojo)

. Nintendo have mentioned the existance of a game entitled 'The Legend of Golfer'. Rumours persist this could be one of 2 things, either a massive RPG for the Gamecube or Nintendo's return to serious sport games after the poor support the Gamecube has been getting. If the next rumour is true then it could well be a sports game. (IGN)

. Golden Sun for Gamecube. We heard many eons ago that fantastic developer Camelot (Golden Sun, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf) were working on an RPG for the Gamecube. Well fact became legend which became myth and we forgot about it. But in a recent English magazine it was reveiled that one of the games showcased at E3 will be a full 3D incarnation of the smash GBA game Golden sun. Said magazine also claims Mario 128 will also be at the show. (CUBE)

. Despite leaving the majority of the year to 3rd parties Nintendo look set to continue a push this Christmas. Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2 and Pikmin 2 may look set to be Nintendo's driving force this Christmas. (Nintendo)

. John Woo has bought the rights to create a movie based on the Metroid series of games. Now that does seem promising. (everywhere)

. Final Fantasy I and II are set to be re-released on one cart for the Gameboy Advance. Printing money are we Square? Expect the other lot to follow. (IGN)

. Leeds based developer Mobius have just been bought out by Rockstar/THQ. The handheld developer created a seemingly excellent conversion of the console Max Payne for the GBA and so thusly the company decided to snap them up. (IGN)

. The GameCube Peripheral that will appear at this year's E3 games show is set to 'deliver added functionality.' Thrilling stuff. (IGN)

. Rickoss has won too many Gameaday's later so I am sadly forced to beat the little genius with a larged smoked kipper. (Gameaday)

. The head of Kuju (the company that's making a special exclusive Gamecube game) has set up his own personal campaign to bring Konami's Castlevania series to the Gamecube. Kuju, the British developer, is making a title for both companies at the moment and so he may have some voice in this.

. The special re-mixed (or totally new) Viewtiful Joe game for the PS2 is set to include Devil May Cry's Dante. (Computer and videogames)

. Next month a "shocking" announcement about Phantasy Star Online is set to be made. Apparently. (IGN)

. I'm done.

I think Strafio it is quite possible a GBA2 hardware is being developed after all the DS is a "third pillar".

But if the DS defies experts and even Nintendo's expecations and does well... then the next GBA will HAVE to be delayed. No one really expects the DS to be the next big handheld system... but it is proving very hard to predict. If it is then Nintendo will not want to release an alternative system a mere year or 2 later. Perhaps making it a "spin-off" from the Gameboy franchise instead.

And if the system does okay but nothing amazing.... then Nintendo have their backs covered with the "real" next-generation Gameboy hardware.

Then it would BE the "GBA 2" that was supposedly coming alongside it.

It sounds powerful enough anyway.
The second screen is GBA standard so the main one might be up to N64 quality. Add in wireless multi, backwards compatability, an analogue stick, and Rare's support and it'll be a MUST have.

The second screen would allow you to set up a wireless connection to another DS and simulate it as a Link cable for older games.
Then if I found someone else with Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal...

And that's just for older games.

What about new ones.
Goldeneye or Perfect Dark conversions?

I've gone off gaming a bit but if those gems were released for it I would definately buy one.

Indeed that could include GBA software that has a special DS extra ability that the GBA does not have.

Another rumour is that the console when released will not be called the Nintendo DS but the Gameboy DS.

Hehe. It's backwardly compatable with the GBA though so this might be a twist of wording.

Interesting. By adult oriented though, I hope he means compared to Windwaker rather than OOT. Violent slashing of enemies would go a bit too far. But hey, Metroid Prime was adult oriented and that was fine.
Infact, the only problem for a kid is that they'd find it boring. :-D

They'd better finish the story in ONE game this time, the sly SOBs!

They'll ruin it by giving the female actor too much attitude.
So long as she spends the majority of the film under the visor, and we only see her face for brief scenes, then it might be alright.

But even then, Hollywood has a history of butchering game franchises.

Come again? :-S

And he wanted one that I hadn't claimed!
