I'm pleased to announce that the following people will be awarded a Filmaday prize or a banana:
CJC - Hannibal banner
Slaveunit - Gameaday.co.uk banner
Dav1d - UKphonetones.com banner
Atomic_Koala - Gameaday.co.uk banner
er-no wins a Gameaday prize for his UKchatforums.co.uk and Filmaday.co.uk banners. He's on fire.
Check out all the entries here:

Well done to everybody who took part, there were lots of interesting ideas, a toon, and only a couple of really scary ones. Watch out for the winning banners popping up all over the site in the next couple of days.

Tony's original message:
Design a banner competition. One banner equals a Filmaday prize. Two will get you a Gameaday prize.
Banners count if we use them. There can be many winners. If we don't use them then there is no prize. They must be under 15K and 468x60 pixel GIFs so don't be stupid.
Focus on our free gifts and items which are near the top of our charts, Get Dotted and Freeola, or UKchatforums. Look for an idea which will entice people to click, or a strong selling point of the product in question.
Ol' Darkus does make some goodun's though.
If it was Darkus who did the "Dude, your hard-disk is like, totally full"
Then I'm inclined to agree with you.

Is that Tellah as in Tellah Story?
A professional can devise and create a good banner in an hour or so, and I have never ever seen one worth upwards of 500 quid.

I know what you mean, I design websites and charge extra for banners, but its more the principle than actually winning a game because I havent won one yet (after many attempts).
I would also get more pleasure out of seeing a banner I've made on the SR website, which is why I did them.
You must be pretty good at making banners if you charge £1000 for each one, why dont you have a go at one of these competitions, you'll probably wipe the competition away!

Got about 250

But didn't you help put together the site and its original ads in the first place?
And, seeing as you work for SR, would it make any difference if you just happened to coincidently win?
I might have a go at a couple though if I get time... ;-)

You could download a 30 day trial version from the Macromedia web site?
