So what does everybody's hair look like then? :D
I just returned from getting my lusicous (sp) locks sheered... it used to look like Thom Yorke's in the Street Spirit video... it looks the same but I'd say 67% shorter :D
I am still in a state of turmoil from your Riot casting last night. Any body that is reading this, during our weekly dangle down Port Erin i was the victim of sabotage from some direct sideways casting.
Two weeks later over very rough ground on a charter with regular hopefuls we caught a steady number of Callig mixed in with four Black Bream, the dogfish king is usually the Bollan king and he was left alone to do what he does best.We moved across the bay for the last hour and towards the end of that hour two Callig were found of approx 8.25 and 8.5, one caught on a xmas decoration influenced lead head of many colours and one on a sandeel nicked from the lad next to me- which was nice !
This weekend saw us over similar ground and after a bit of a saline shower, the breeze held us nicely against the tide. and nicely in a fish free zone, we were already cold we needed some activity apart from pulling out of snags/catching 'rockfish'. A short move and a few Callig were squeeked out, a couple of them touching 5 lb's perhaps, but mostly a lot smaller. The main interest came fom 3 large Bollan all over 4 lb's the skipper was pointing out he would not usually wet his net for a wrasse, but they were fine specemens. One decent bream was also caught on razor a small cod was sent back.
At this time of year we have had good hits of Bream (30-40 per boat)on odd days, but I have not heard of anything like that so far.
N.b. Another charter boat had at least two Bream on a sunny settled day in the midweek, I know because the skipper rang me at work each time 'just to let me know'.
> Oh, an interesting topic.
