The 2 policeman beating the crap out of that chap?
What'll be the excuse?
"He had a lighter that looked like a boxing glove"
Nope, 2 bully boys wailing on a guy and nothing will happen about this either.
This is the official line from the police commission and the story from the BBC:
A police officer who was captured on video hitting an apparently defenceless man has been withdrawn from duties which may bring him into contact with the public.
The tape shows Chris Wilson, 26, being kicked in the groin and punched in the face by a uniformed officer outside his home in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Mr Wilson is then handcuffed by the policeman, who allegedly knees him in the back and pulls him by his hair to a patrol car.
The officer's colleague, who saw the incident, has also been withdrawn from duties.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers have been withdrawn from duties which mean bringing them into contact with the public."
The video was shot by music student Mark Goodwin, 21, who said: "I was in shock for about two hours. My fingers were still shaking.
"I just couldn't believe what I was watching or that I was managing to get it on film.
"I remember hearing the crack of the first punch. I can remember feeling it for the lad, I kind of said 'ouch' for him."
The video does not show events leading up to the alleged attack but a second officer can be seen looking on.
So, we have two shooting inside of a month and police carrying out random acts of violence, caught on video-tape.
What the hell is going on here?
Are we in Malaysia or China?
Police shooting and punching us?
Now, I'm not saying anything else except this:
Rodney King. Police found not guilty, LA burned to the ground.
Interesting to see what happens with this one.
? Newspapers report another one accused of raping a
> girl after a night out.
Yeah, but did you read the article? The one I read says that the girl was too drunk (by her own actions) to say 'no'.
So does that mean every time a bloke goes out for the night, pulls a drunk woman and has sex with her that he has to worry about whether he's going to be charged with rape?
Yep it certainly is out of order, the things that some officers think that a badge can allow them to do.
And it's not like they're overly reliable either. Over 80% of robberies don't lead to arrests, or convictions. They just think you're insured and everythings fine.
But I imagine that more police officers than not are decent, and actually care about people. It's just the bad ones we hear about.
We both agree that naz...sorry, police officers are getting a bit out of hand? Newspapers report another one accused of raping a girl after a night out.
Lovely.
I get the impression that the Police are nothing more than Prefects with cars.
This isn't saying ALL police are bad and morally corrupt bully boys, just the ones I've met so far.
This is from someone that got caught up in the Mayday protests last year taking a foreign friend round London sights.
I got beaten by riot police for defending a Chinese lady that had her camera snatched and batoned in the face by a guy twice her size wearing a helmet and a shield.
Cowards.
I demand you read my one, not this one.
It's called More Police Camera Action.
And, um, you'd better not win for this, you stole my idea etc etc :-)
