Right, this is what I've been told is the status:

B = Very high grade
C = High grade
D = Average
E = Below average
U = "A corpse could score more!"

The reason there isn't an A is because it's the intermediate one.

Result Stuff
Test number 1 (i & ii)

Taken on the 7th Nov 2006
Result on the 18th Jan 2007: B (66 marks)

Test Number 2 (i & ii)
Taken on the 8th Mar 2007
Result (Can't remember dateor marks): B

Test Number 3 (i)
Taken on the 4th June 2007
Result: TBC

Test number 3 (ii)
Taken on the 11th June 2007
Result: TBC (Along with overall result)

I will update when necessary.

VB seems to be infamous for things going wrong. Hell there has been numerous occassions whereby i copied my friends coding and it still didn't work. The same with all my other friends.

VB6 is being replaced with something else, but the language is going to be similar.

Nope I've never done anything about psychology or anything. My course is maths and computing (half and half last year, this year with a slight emphasis on computing since I chose a class on databases/SQL etc over stats) so in theory I do more about the inner workings than the usage or effects on people. Psychology isn't really my thing anyway ;)

I did some VB at sixth form. A horrible language, I felt :P And it seemed like none of the VB programs I've ever used could run for any length of time without giving runtime errors and crashing. I don't know if that's the fault of the language or just bad programming but it really gave the impression VB was an unstable environment. But then I guess needing to restart things often is an MS trademark.

I could have taken a class on it this year but you know.. I'd been sort of put off by then.

I did information systems and had to do an exam on it. It was incredably confusing. I look back on it and still can't understand why and i dreaded those lessons back then.

I'm doing strategic management which is again, dealing with change. A crap bike company is making losses. You have to identify why and how you would resolve the situation. Its a 2 semester project. Good news this semester there are no lectures. Lecturer simply mentors you and you do the work. Simple stuff.

Last semester we did VB. My god were we unprepared. I knew nothing about it and i didn't understand the basics. Only when i looked on his website, constantly emailing my lecturer and using my friends past work did i actually survive. I can tell you now, everyone had serious problems with it and everyone pretty much came close to not completeing it.

Done anything on social aspects of systems? My friends found it boring, i found it interesting. Combines psychology with ICT along with some interesting points. Such as how ICT is actually destroying cultures, is psychometric testing any cop and such.

I'll discuss the modules when i attend them next week. Just have to wait for my time table. Incidently what are you studying, what year and where?

I have to do a few "information systems" modules and they are the most BORING subjects EVER. Specifically one subject on UML modelling and OO project design/management. Have you ever done that? If you haven't, avoid it at all costs. Sitting through that for an hour really sucks your will to live away. I study maths and computing so it's beyond me why something very project management oriented is mandatory for me but unfortunately it is.

I have one on databases too which is semi interesting.

I have the 9-6 on Tuesdays btw. With a gap from 12 til 4. I know how you feel. It's great fun, though my attendance for the 4-6 lecture has been a little lax lately.

My brother had it worse. He had to go back to uni and begin lectures on the 5-7th jan. Hell he's trying to become a doctor and he gets weekly exams, his own patients, makes his own diagnoses of illnesses (with supervisor watching over of course) and thats on top of the lectures and coursework he has to do. its very hard work. 5 years. 3rd year he gets to work in A&E or with the emergency services. Will get paid for doing it. But will mean doing more work.
