Fashion is a big thing these days, and everyone wants to looks 'Cool'. They wear caps backwards because they think it is cool, when really it is pointless.
The point is there to shade your eyes not your neck. Hmmm that gave me a good idea, I think I'll invent a had with 2 point so it doesent matter which way you wear the cap you will look the same as everybody else.

Well it depends on the hat and how its made, if its an expensive baseball cap with a short tip (like the Quiksilver I have on now) it looks best backwards. If the front is longer and can be bent with a hole at the back it looks better normal with tip at front.
Also the caps that can be worn backwards must have NO hole in the back end because that looks GAY!!

Grix, I'll answer your question. People who porte (oops that's french for...) wear (I have a habit of doing that!) their cap to the front, like me, are sensible and want to keep the sun out of their eyes.
People who wear their cap to the back do it as a fashion statement!
