Microsoft UK has finally confirmed that the PAL version of Ninja Gaiden has been stripped of its gory decapitation routines, despite playing down reports to that effect earlier in the year.
Doesn't bother me, but I honestly felt that the decapitations served more of a purpose than just an aesthetical gimmick.

Exactly. It smacks of hypocrisy.
The same kind of thing has happened to Hitman Contracts. They cut out scenes of a guy receiving a blow job from a hooker and also pole dancers flashing their nipples. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the sort of person who gets off on computerised nekidness, but since when has a bit of nudity and sex been more offensive than shooting someone in the face?
