"Microsoft and Ubisoft offer prizes to European Xbox Live gamers who prove themselves in Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow ranking games.

Microsoft and Ubisoft have today announced the imminent launch of their first Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow Xbox Live tournament in Europe. Set to run from April 26 to May 26, the competition is open to Xbox Live players aged 18 and over who have opted-in for communication with Xbox Live, who have registered multiplayer scores by playing ranking games, and who currently live in one of the 10 participating countries, which include Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

The eventual winner of the tournament will sneak away with a Pandora Tomorrow "Spy Kit" worth around £2,650 ($4,682), which is composed of a Samsung fingerprint-activated laptop, a Samsung camcorder with night-capture mode, a crystal Xbox with two controllers, an Xbox Live Starter Kit, and a copy of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Five runners-up will each disappear into the shadows clutching goody bags containing approximately £100 ($177) worth of stuff, including a personal FM radio, postcards, a telescopic pen, a glow-in-the-dark Pandora Tomorrow T-shirt, and more.

Further information on the tournament can be found at Xbox.com."

Very nice, but I can't help but think that the
"crystal Xbox with two controllers, an Xbox Live Starter Kit, and a copy of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow"
is the most pointless free gift in the world. That is, unless, you sell it on...

I'm sick of the ranking system on Live though. Every time I lose a game on Neutralisation, I lose about 12 points. It's severly p!ssing me off...

You think you're good, then you play against some of the freaks on Splinter Cell and realise that you're actually pretty crap.

Trust me, I highly doubt any normal people would have a chance with some of the freaks online. I'm good but there's always someone out there who's gonna be miles better.
