Ok so now i've got my connection working fine, i've setup the network configuration on the network access disc so now i'm ready for gaming. However everytime i log into Socom 2 i get an error message saying

DNAS Error -402

What does this mean? Does anyone know

Yup it works although that mod chip is a bloody tempremental (sp?) thing, doesn't want to go off most of the time, had to keep trying until it finally decided to behave. Socom 1 works with it on but Socom 2 needs for it to be turned off, quite annoying but ah well least i can get online now

I'll just try Socom 1 later and then try turning off my mod chip for socom 2 and see what happens. It worked the first time with the mod chip on so who knows

Loads of online games have DNAS checks now before connecting you to a lobby.

Had mine chipped before that method was discussed. Had it for 3 odd years now and had no problems until now with Zipper's stupid DNAS checks

Yes, but considering the chances of making your PS2 obsolete with a modchip, it's worth it.

You don't need to chip it at all, I don't have a chip in my PAL Playstation and it can play all my import games (except online ones)

I really really hate it when things like that happen.

Just as you're about to enjoy something new and it throws summat up in your face.

Erg.
